PROJECT DETAILS

Impact Statement

These projects aimed to ease overcrowding at Ololosokwan Primary School by providing two new classrooms, enhancing the learning environment for students. The additional space will reduce the number of children per desk, improve comfort, and create an environment where education can truly thrive.

Project Overview

WHO:
Students at Ololosokwan Primary School, particularly in the early grades, where overcrowding was most severe.

WHY:
The rapid increase in student enrollment at Ololosokwan Primary School has strained existing classroom space. This overcrowding hindered effective learning, with 2–4 children sharing a desk and many others unable to attend school due to lack of space.

WHAT:
The project involved constructing two additional classrooms, complete with desks and essential educational supplies. The construction included the full build-out of the classrooms, from foundation to roofing, installation of windows, doors, and ceilings, as well as interior finishes like painting, electrical work, and water connections.

IMPACT:
With two new classrooms, Ololosokwan Primary School can now accommodate more students in a comfortable and conducive learning environment. The additional space will reduce overcrowding, particularly in the critical early grades, helping improve learning outcomes for children in this remote part of Tanzania.
