CREATING A SECURE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT
At Explore With Purpose, we understand the importance of a safe living environment for a child’s education. Ololosokwan Primary School struggled with overcrowding in its boys’ dormitory, which lacked adequate facilities. To address this, in 2022 we partnered with TAASA Lodge and World Playground to build a new dormitory, improving living conditions for the students.

Impact Statement
The new boys’ dormitory at Ololosokwan Primary School addressed overcrowding and provides a secure, comfortable environment for students. With better facilities, the dormitory offers students a safer place to sleep and live while attending school, supporting their overall well-being and educational success.
Project Overview
WHO:
Schoolboys from Ololosokwan and surrounding villages who need safe accommodation to attend school.
WHY:
Many students at Ololosokwan Primary School walk long distances daily to attend class. In 2022, the overcrowded and dilapidated existing dormitory posed serious challenges for their health, comfort, and overall well-being.
WHAT:
The project involved constructing a new dormitory with more space, reducing overcrowding, and providing essential furnishings such as beds, mattresses, bedding, and storage trunks. The old dormitory remains in use and was repaired and remodeled in 2024.
IMPACT:
The new dormitory improved the students’ living conditions, helping them focus on their studies and thrive academically. It also ensures a safer and healthier environment for the boys who live away from their families.
